Computer Training Center Management System

Abstract

The project, titled COMPUTER TRAINING CENTER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, is a web application developed in ASP.NET that creates software for managing files by providing a web solution. The web solution provides an opportunity to operate a computer training center.

The COMPUTER TRAINING CENTRE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is an efficient, time-saving, easy way to report, view, and control file versions. This is an easy task, and managing it is much easier. DMS is a suite of programs that keep an annotated history of projects and automate most of the hassle involved in avoiding conflicts of changes.

Most Computer management systems have the same basic logic. The centers have a lot of data, and most of them are still carried on paper. The certificate issuance is also an issue, where digital certificates are the new trend. The centers still rely on the old manually stamped and sealed certificates. Fees collection is also a part where we would want to introduce digitalization. Administrators can monitor regular monetary transactions, and the institution’s fee collection program can be coordinated according to the institution’s rules. The data in the system can be analyzed, graphed, and reported in the format of your choice. The administrator has complete control over this software.

Administrators can send event announcements to all users in the lab. The user ID and password will be provided to the student. For students, grades, fees, and Test results. Parents have access to community testimony, achievements, teacher comments, and details of everything related to the community.

Introduction

The idea of developing a “COMPUTER TRAINING CENTRE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” project came to me. If you go to the Computer Education Institute, you will see that the data is being processed manually in a file. This is an attempt to create a laboratory management system project, and it automates the entire lab work. This project makes it easier and faster to do tedious and error-prone tasks, and it can be used daily with both top-level and bottom-level management Surgery.

All facilities for obtaining student and teacher information, library management, courses, and fee management. Add, delete, update and save to your project. Example: B. For first-year students. All information about students coming for admission Completed, course submitted by him, fee, participation submitted. Manage charts, teacher or non-teacher staff information, libraries, etc. Quickly check and manage the number of students Institute, number of courses, etc. The application is scalable and easy to maintain. May be easy

It can be changed according to the changing needs of the user. The idea of developing a laboratory management system was devised after considering traditional methods of working and coordinating within the system by various institutions. Therefore, we need a new centralized system that allows users such as students, teachers, and administrators to coordinate and conveniently access resources from their devices easily.

The computer center management system has a separate database for each institutional department to simplify the management. Teachers, students, administrators, and other users are granted access to data and different access levels to determine what data can be modified/updated. Users can view and edit their profiles. Administrators will be able to edit and access all data stored in the computer management system.

Drawbacks of The Existing System

Existing system surveys show that the entire post was done manually. It was registered, very tedious, and error-prone. Search It was not possible to report even with the existing system. Again,

The work of the laboratory was maintained manually. There was a register or file Laboratory system. The current working method is all based on a manual system. The information is received first and then entered into the register. Very It’s a difficult task, and it takes time—also the existing system.

It also depends on the worker if the worker is absent. It leads to Affects problems and

business performance. Due to a large amount of data, a lot of complexity involves maintaining, updating, and retrieving selected information. Long ago, The system was entirely manually maintained and involved some of the complexity In the existing system:

1. Repeated data (Redundancy): – Improper maintenance of data leads to inconsistencies that lead to problems such as data duplication.

2. Updating Issues: – Problems updating data on existing systems as everything is stored in registers and files. Updating data is very difficult and time-consuming.

3. Scattered Data (Non-Centralized): -On existing systems, records are kept under the file management system. Due to this system, the data placement is not in a specific location, which creates confusion and increases the time it takes to maintain good records.

4. Delay in retrieving information: – Retrieving information is a very time-consuming process due to a large amount of data. If you need to find a particular record, you need to scan many registers.

5. Problem with keeping the data: – Due to a large amount of data, more disk space is required to store the data. Also, everything is saved on paper, and this type of storage is vulnerable to damage over time and other random factors.

6. No integration or relation between the data: – Current systems do not support data integrity.

7. Not proper retrieval of information: – When information is needed for a specific purpose, it is challenging to get the data on an existing system.

Proposed System

The new system will automate the whole work of the institute. In this project, we will retrieve a student’s information or update the information easily by the use of a computer. If any new student comes into the institute for admission, all the information regarding the student and in which course they want to take admission or what the roll is not given to the student the information is stored in the database. We can easily retrieve, change, update or save the information. Information regarding the teachers or non-teaching staff is also in

this project. Here we will manage the library also that is how many books are in the library and information of all the issued books from the library. The student’s fine is also calculated by the use of a computer from the attendance chart. Monthly Student Fund Management. Or semester-based. The proposed system was created using technology. H. VB 6.0 with ORACLE8i. The proposed system is a high-speed, simple, and efficient system.

The proposed system is also less dependent on workers. It works Without the help of employees. All software is automatic. Or All software is full of pictures of all the subjects classified under it, Different groups.

Objective of The New System

The goal is to design a system that can integrate all of the above points. It works on a single system and is easy to use. New system All records and files from the old system should be combined into one Comprehensively linked for access.

Some information, this can be done efficiently. The system should be a one-stop-shop solution where all the different jobs are present. About various activities and functions of the center.

In a single window with minimal effort. In other words, with the new system, You can get the job done much more efficiently in a short amount of time. It is more effective than the existing system. The design aspect of the new system should be aimed at establishing everyone.

Data fields and records in a single database. You can easily manipulate and acquire data. That should be Designed to display only the information you need When asked. Different from the manual system, you have to search.

A hard copy of the file to search for a specific record. You need to eliminate all, if not all, issues that existed in the older versions system. It also needs to be compatible, easy to understand, and easy to use

Change. The purpose is to eliminate as many problems as possible, design an existing system and a new system to look like that, and create a comprehensive approach to the stated objectives. Organization With A clear understanding of the structure of the old system, you can design goals to be achieved.

The Main Scope of The Project

1. Fast and Efficient: – Compared to existing systems, new systems allow users to get information from software quickly, easily, and efficiently.

2. Reliable and accurate: – As with new systems, information is stored and processed on your computer, improving the reliability and accuracy of your data.

3. Centralized Data: – On existing systems, records are kept under the file management system because the data placement on this system is not in a specific location. However, all records are managed on the computer in the new system, which centralizes the data.

4. Non-Redundant Information: – Similar to the proposed system, it manages the data on the computer so that there is no data inconsistency and there are no problems such as data duplication.

5. Easy to Access: – Compared to existing systems, new systems allow users to quickly and efficiently access information from their computers.

6. No Documentation: – No file documentation or maintenance is required as everything is stored on your computer.

Data flow diagrams are one of the most sophisticated tools for structured analysis. The data flow diagram, or DFD, is also known as the bubble diagram. Its purpose is to clarify system requirements and identify programmatic key transformations in system design. The most crucial starting point in the design phase is that the functionally breaks down the requirements specification into the lowest level of detail.

The DFD consists of a series of bubbles connected by wires. Bubbles represent data transformations, and lines represent data flows in the system. By standard rules, the DFD has four primary symbols.

Er Diagram

The relational model represents a database as a collection of relationships. Each relation is similar to a file of values tables or records. In the formal relational model terminology, rows are called tuples, column headings are called attributes, and tables are called relations. A relational database consists of tables, each with a unique name. A row of stories represents a set of related values.

System Testing

Software development projects can be buggy at any stage of the development phase. Various troubleshooting methods and techniques are available at each of the steps described. However, there is no perfect approach, and some early bugs are expected to appear in the code. Therefore, code developed during the coding activity can experience some requirement errors and design errors, which are introduced during the coding activity. Testing is an important phase in software development. Testing plays a vital role in determining the quality and reliability of your application. This process develops several test cases. A test case is a data set that the system treats as standard input. System testing consists of several key activities and procedures for testing a program.

Conclusion

The computer training management system runs effectively. The Computer Centre Management System is an efficient, time-saving, and easy way to report, view, and control file versions. All operations are performed efficiently. To use one, first register a collection of source files. It tells the DMS to launch an archive file that describes the history of changes. Then, if you want to edit any of these files, you need to check them out. Set an exclusive lock on the file. When you’re done, check in the file, add your changes to the archive, release the lock, and enter a change comment explaining what you did.

Advantages and Disadvantages

The many advantages of the system are already discussed above, and the system is designed in a very user-friendly nature. The project’s main objective is to reduce some manual work and digitalize the process.

One of the main disadvantages that we faced was implementing the huge requirement that the centers require. That providing all in one system is quite impossible. However the, we are constantly working to improve our system.
